Nancy Bussani is vice president of philanthropy for Dignity Health Foundation. In this role, she oversees the Foundation’s work to support innovative, system-wide initiatives for Dignity Health that couldn’t otherwise be undertaken by a single organization or hospital.

Prior to joining Dignity Health, Ms. Bussani served as San Jose State University’s vice president for university advancement and CEO of the Tower Foundation – the University’s auxiliary arm dedicated to philanthropy. In that role, she helped establish the Tower Foundation’s board, infrastructure, initial projects, and funding strategy – making it the third 501(c) 3 organization in career that she has helped build.

Ms. Bussani has also served as executive director of the Metropolitan Technology Center at Moffett Field, president and CEO of Mountain Winery, president of the nonprofit consulting company Manex, and director of contracts and grants at the SJSU Research Foundation. She has been an adjunct professor at the SJSU College of Business and continues to be an active community grant writer.

Ms. Bussani serves on the boards of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation and the MW Kid’s Foundation.  She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Idaho and an M.B.A. from Washington State University.
