Amir Mashkoori is a CEO and co-founder of ISBI Digital University. Formerly, he was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Kovio, Inc. a privately held Silicon Valley company which designs and manufactures printed silicon products for Near Field Communication (NFC) and Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) markets, including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags and RF Barcodes.  Kovio is backed by leading venture capitalists and strategic investors, including Kleiner Perkins, Duff Ackerman and Goodrich, Tyco Retail Solutions, Harris and Harris Group, Flagship Venture Partners, Mitsui Ventures, Panasonic Venture Group, and Toppan Forms.

Amir came to Kovio from Spansion, the largest company focused exclusively on Flash memory, where he managed the company's Wireless Business Unit. As executive vice president, he oversaw the marketing, engineering, operations and business functions of the division. During his tenure, the division experienced more than double market share growth in the wireless handset market as the market itself expanded to almost one billion units in 2006.

Amir began his professional career at AMD in 1978, serving in senior level operational roles for 17 years. He was also vice president of operations and later senior vice president of operations and business development at Trident Microsystems between 1996 and 1998, before re-joining AMD in 1999.

Mashkoori serves on the boards of Entropics Communications and the Tower Foundation of SJSU (where he is Chairman of the Board) and is a member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.  He holds bachelors and masters degrees in business administration from San Jose State University.
