Concussion Network components

There are three components of the Dignity Health Concussion Network:

  • Barrow Brainbook delivers concussion education to high school athletes through a fun-to-use, athlete-focused online learning module. Barrow Brainbook was launched in 2011 in Arizona, where more than 300,000 student athletes have since used it for concussion education. Today, every high school athlete in Arizona must complete Barrow Brainbook before being cleared for play.
  • Baseline measurements provide pre- and post-concussion test results so athletic trainers and coaches can determine if it is safe for an athlete to return to play.
  • Telehealth software gives athletic trainers and physicians 24/7 access to  consultation with a neurologist specializing in concussions and traumatic brain injuries.
